Question about 2003 Nissan Maxima
I have a 2003 nissan maxima when accelerating I hear clicking sound from engine compartment I am wondering what the problem is
If it occurs as the same rpm, it's either valve chatter, caused by worn valve seals or worn piston rings, or it's your timing chain. If there's slack from a stretched/worn timing chain, it will slap at certain rpms (usually between 1700 & 2000). A qualified nissan mechanic can usually tell the difference by listening to the engine.

You hear clicking from the engine. If it increases in speed when you accelerate and decreases as you slow down, try listening for it in park. If the sound continues you need to take it to a shop. If the sound is only present when you are moving you need to have your CV joints checked.
