SOURCE: fuse box

Start by checking the TBC fuses in the door jamb fuse block. As far as I can see, that is where the inadvertant power bus picks up power which is what the lights feed off of. Good Luck.

SOURCE: 2004 ford explorer passenger vanity

Hello chuck, those vanity mirrors & hinges have a history of breaking on the Explorer & Mountaineer. Yours have lasted a lot longer than most---Ford issued a service bulletin on them. They supposedly have upgraded the hinge design. Most owners prefer to replace the visor. To remove the visor, remove the screws from the swivel bracket that is attached to the roof & disconnect the wire connector, to replace reverse the process. After market mirrors are available now, but they usually require some bushings to make them fit properly. The end result is not a perfect fit, loose fabric, etc.

Here is the Techinical service bulletin i was refering to.

I have 2013 Chevy impala my vanity lights won't come on but the passenger side vanity lights work I changed the bulbs please help?

Talking about the sun visor lights?. There are small wires in them, pulling it up and down and left and right breaks these wires. To fix this you need to pull the visor(takes a special tool). Pop off the bezel at the roof mount the remove the screws to pull the mount out. Pull the wires until the plug comes out and unplug it. Then cut the stitching from the cloth/vinyl cover of the visor. Pull it out of your way. Find where the wire broken and repair it. Sew the visor back and re install. Visors aren't cheap. Last one I bought was $140.

Outside temp light and compass dont work. what can i do to fix it?

Do the map lights in the overhead console / Illuminated vanity lights work?

This is the same fuse, Cab fuse panel fuse #23 ( hot in run position ).

If the map lights & vanity mirrors on the visors work correctly, it is the solid state module in the overhead console that is the problem ( have seen this, more common on SuperDuty line ).\
