Unfortunately you have to remove the cluster (speedo, rev counter unit) from the fascia.
With a little tech. knowledge it is not that difficult, or get a repair manual to show exactly which screws to undo.

SOURCE: how do you replace the odometer bulb in a 1995

There are no screws for speedometer assembly, pull the speedo meter out from right and then from left, remove holders from the back of the meter assembly, unscrew the speedometer cable, and pull the assembly as much as u can, u can access the holders for odometer (on the top), take out the holder, replace a new fish bulb and follow these steps backward, hope this will solve the problem

Please I'm still waiting for any solution What My 1995 c280 Mercedes Benz can not raise or fire beyond 20 odometer at idle, please what could be the problem

every one is having trouble trying to understand what you are saying
cannot fire or raise ----does that mean cannot accelerate the engine
beyond 20 odometer does that mean faster than 20 mph(klm ph)
or does it simply mean that it will not rev higher than 2000 rpm on the tachometer
a odometer reads speed and a tacho reads engine rpms
so you can see why no one is answering your question
it is confusing as to what you are saying

If engine is running , then it could be the small box on the side of the fuel distributor .Inside it has a carbon track .As they wear out you wont be able to rev up the engine.due to the brake in the carbon.Or for some reason your computer for the engine management as set it to run in limp mode ..The computer will do this if you have other fault in the motor .Star readout , is the best thing at the dealers .

1995 speedo not working merc c200 auto is this electrical or mechanical does it runs of the gearbox

The speedo is driven by a cable from the side of the transmission. The usual fitment is a circlip retaining the flared end of the cable sheath with the other end secured to the back of the odometer with knurled nut.

Considering purchase of a 1995 S420, but Carfax indicates a warning in the titling of 2003 an odometer discrepancy. Yet the car was titled then and since. What red flags should I ask about to confirm this...

it being that old and a Benz, milage is a non issue unless you are getting a loan from the bank. Just pay a good price screw carfax. Stuff only shows up if someone reports it and they make mistakes.

INstrument panel light out how to replace

grab both sides of cluster and just pull unit towards you. Nothing holds it in but 4 clips and 4 rubber grommets. Just dont yank too hard or youll pull wires off the back.
