Question about 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Dash service ligth with key & slash thru it

I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it also has a service light that shows up with a key in a circle with a slash thru it. Sometimes my car will not start right away. This week I took it to the shop because it took 11 times to try before it would start. They cleared the code???? but the light is still coming on. Has anyone had this similar problem and know what to do????

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Somehow, your security key becamed unrecognized by your security system. I don't exactly know the fix for this, but maybe the dealer can tell you what to do next.

Dash lights on 2004 jeep grand cherokee

it is having trouble reading your key chip. You may need to get a new key thru someone other than dealer. Dealer is WAY too expensive. Check around locally and save some $$.
