Try changing the oil, paying great attention to manufacturer's recommendations. Could be oil is way too thick and is sticking things that are supposed to slide, until it warms and thins.

Sorry, I am slightly scratching around - except that evidently engine heat and/or gearbox heat is changing something to improve synchromesh action. Perhaps engine warms the clutch fluid, which expands and releases clutch fully when warm. Check clutch biting point when cold - if very high up, or if very slight clutch pedal movement can disengage clutch when driving along, consider clutch not releasing properly (friction plate or thrust bearing - high mileage wear; replace clutch if so).

Clutch fluid may be contaminated with air, reducing effective clutch travel - bleed with new fluid.

If clutch is failing to disengage properly when cold, clutch biting point would be right near the floor, not high up (DOH !).

This looks very like either the crank sensor or cam sensor is faulty. The are OK when cold but as they warm up everything expands just that little bit and if there is a break in the wiring inside them then a gap opens up and it dies. When it cools down things contract back again the gap closes the break reconnects and it works again. If it is possible put straightened out paper clips (called 'back probing') into the back of the wires at the sockets to these devices and then use a voltmeter to detect the voltages on them. Check when cold and then every few minutes as the engine warms at idle. One of the sensors will begin to reduce voltage as it gets warm, this is the faulty one that needs changing.
