Question about 1991 Buick Park Avenue
Depending on which door it is could create a problem since the rear door light switch is in the latch that closes on the strike pin. The door panel would have to come off to access this one; although, this is still a good place to start.

Check at door to make sure push button switch is in correct position, depress switch to see if it turns lights off
