If the tires are inflated to the manufacture's specs, it is likely the tire pressure sensor (sender) is bad.
This is not a DIY repair, and it will need a dealer's attention.

I went to start my 2002 kis spectra and all the lights came on but the car itself didnt start i got a jump and it started but im not sure it that was the problem


Hi,
Sounds like a flat battery to me. A battery can have enough voltage to illuminate all your warning lights, but not enough current to turn starter. Maybe an idea to take to your nearest tyre/battery centre and get them to test it with a load tester. Hope this helps.

If you have the "Mini Mobility System" your car has a tube of tyre sealant and an electric air pump. These are locate in the boot (trunk) under the carpet.

Shake the tube of sealant. Screw the filler hose onto the bottle. Unscrew the dust cap from the tyre valve. Unscrew the valve insert from the tyre valve using the screw device (very important). Push the tube of tube of sealant onto the tyre valve and hold the bottle with the cap pointing downwards. Squeeze the bottle and force the entire contents into the tyre. Replace the tyre valve insert using the screw tool (most important).

Get the electric pump and connect the hose with the pressure guage onto the tyre valve. Connect the pump electric plug into the cigarette socket in the car or power outlet in the boot (ignition key needs to be on position 1). Inflate the tyre to 1.8 - 2.5 bar. Switch the pump off for a moment to check the pressure accurately. Unscrew the compressor, and put everything away in the boot. IMMEDIATELY drive your car for about 10 minutes. This is to distribute the sealant throughout the tyre. Do not exceed 60km/h. After driving for 10 minutes, recheck the tyre pressures using the pump or at a service station. Continue your journey but keep below 80km/h until you have the tyre checked or replaced.

Need to reset to run flat tyre warning light on


i have a bmw , 1 series, i have just put air in my tyres and there is now a warning light on the dashboard, have i over inflated my tyres?

Run flat tyre warning light is on i have checked tyre pressure


This will only come on when a tyre has dropped in pressure (not spare). It work on the principle that a tyre with less air has a smaller rolling circumference and therefore a different wheel speed. This is then monitored against other signals from other wheels and determined that a loss in pressure has occured.

If all tyre pressures seem ok, there could be a chance of a small unoticeable leak and would require a bath test. This is when the tyre is dipped in water and bubbles would appear where the puncture is.

Ultimately the system may just need to be reset, or has incorrectly been reset from a tyre change. For this you just press and hold the TPC button (located on the centre console above the gearstick - looks like a flat tyre with an exclamation) turn on the ignition to position 2 and the light will come on re then yellow,go out, come back on yellow. When it comes back on yellow it re-initializing the system. You can let go of the button and after 20 odd seconds the light will go out for the final time, completing the reset.

If the light continues to come on after the reset then you definitely have a puncture somewhere!

use the I drive system to reset flat tire monitor, go to vehicle settings, then flat tire monitor, then select reset, then you have to drive the car system resets as you drive
