1 Answer

My ford f250 wont start my pumps are not on when i turn my key on, they are intank fuel pumps, but i cant seem to find my relay to change the tanks over, i think either that is my problem or one of my fuel tanks blew a pump and it dosent have any pressure to switch to from tank to tank. The engine is a 300 6cil and i dont have a fuse box under the hood. i dont know see if anyone knows what a solution might be i gotta fix this

Hello, usually the all relays are under the hood were your fuses are located, if they are okay then you need to check if a wire is loose or broken at the fuel pump or were the switch is first if all is well, then look at changine your fuel pump.

engine wont start cold or hot could be fuel problem.check for fuel or spark.try doing little troubleshooting make sure sparkplugs and wires good condition.fuel filter been changed.engine need fuel and spark ignition to run.turn ignition on listen for fuel pump operation in fuel tank if no check fuel pump fuse and relay.if fuse relay okay.problem could be the fuel pump but first use code scanner look for PCM, CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR,CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND DISTRIBUTOR IGNITION FAULT CODE.MAKE SURE YOU HAVE FUEL INTANK I SEEN THAT HAPPEN BEFORE.

93 f150 changed tank and pump rear truck will not start

Make sure all the wires to the fuel pump are hooked up. listen to see if you hear the pump turn on when you turn the key on. If it has two tank does it start on the other one. make sure you have it switched to the right tank. Check your fuel pump fuse and relay under the hood.

Were is the fuel relay for a f250 pick up1991 when i turn the key you dont here the fuel pump turn on so i know that if the relay is good is the fuel pump but sense i have dual tanks i could suap the relay...

Ford is common for the inertial safety cut off to trip. It is usually in the trunk on a car, but I don't know on a PU.
There is a relay box with a small pin to push back down.

Have a 96 ford f250,cannot get fuel to carburator, wheres fuel relay and how do i solve my problem

First you'll want to check all your fuses in the interior fuse panel and replace any that are questionable. the fuel pump relay is located under the hood, sometimes mounted on the firewall but usually located in the main fuse box under the hood. After checking the fuses, put your keys in the ignition and turn it to K>O>E>O. Key On Engine Off, and listen to see if you hear the in tank fuel pump start buzzing and then cut off. It doesn't stay on at that point, it's just pressuring up the fuel system preparing to start. It might take a couple of times until you hear it. If you don't hear anything at all, and your fuses are good, Your in tank fuel pump is the more likely the culprit. It's about due for one being that its 13 years old. Merry Christmas.

Fuel problem, wont start

the pump is part of the filter/separator not in the tank no fuel will come out if filter is removed make sure there is fuel in the upper filter if there is the pump is ok it might be an oil pressure concern

Check the glow plug timer relay. This is what determines the length of time your glow plugs stay on. If it is cycling off too soon, you will have this problem.,
