What exactly got wet? did your forde water? expline the situation. If its just the distributor and such WD-40 will displace the water. If you forded water youll want to remove all the plugs and crank it over to be sure you didnt Hydro-lock the motor.

2006 liberty cranks but wont start

gas engine, not diesel.
its probably flooding, ever give it a 60k mile tune up, ever?
we check spark tips for flooding and dry, never do we guess at fuel pumps, ever. (pressure gauge is $20)
tips dry or soaking wet.
we check for spark , no gas engine car runs with no spark
so we check all cylinders for good spark
if spark is good and flooding (new spark plugs) we use
cranking wide open throttle wot. like the operators guide says.
start now? this cuts all injection, this magic PCM trick.

see scotty ,
1: compresson at spec, 2: spark good and timed. and 3: fueling last.

skip the silly ad.
note he says 2, but he ASSUMES compression is good. (oops)
but his tests are fast, and if it fails to start, see #1 above. ask

THE JEEP WONT START, JUST KILLS THE BATTERY

check the plugs see if they are wet if so replace and mabe put a very small amount of oil in the plug holes and then check fuel pressuere and spark to determan what is missing to see why it will not run

Car wont start but kicks over

Since you do have A fully charged battery and also you do receive fuel smell after crank start and the car wont start, either you do have an Ignition fault means not giving the spark, advice remove the spark plugs and check whether are wet with fuel, see whether are black,if so change them and before start check by leaving an HT lead off a spark and use one of the old ones connected to the HT lead and earthed to the engine, ask somebody to start the engine checking for any spark comes out. If yes then put the HT lead back to the new spark on the engine and try. If ther is not any spark, then you have to go backwards from the HT leads to distributor,Rotor Arm,Electronic igniter,Coil if is fitted,Fuse and relay. Good Luck.

My 2002 jeep liberty was flooded in a car accident i swirved in to a canal now the jeep wont statr we tried to dry out everything we took out the sparkplugs, the air filter, made sure we dried everthing...

If the computer got wet, and you have been trying to start the engine, there's a good chance it is toast.
You would need to know if you are getting spark to the plugs, fuel to the injectors, power and a ground pulse to the injectors, and normal compression to proceed.
One of those things is missing from the equation.
Does the check engine light come on when you turn the key on ?

While pulling out of a parking lot, my foot slipped off the clutch (snowy/wet boots) and the engine died, then wouldn't start. Is there something else going on?

if it wont crank over im thinking that maybe the clutch pedal damaged the clutch safety switch under dash near top of clutch pedal stroke-prevents you from starting engine without foot on clutch pedal.

1993 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE LAREDO IM TOTALLY BAFFLED

Back up a minute...Do you have spark from the coil wire? (juice from coil) If so, change or check rotor and cap (wires do not all go bad at same time so unless they are wet, likely at least good enough to start engine)

94 jeep cherokee cranks but wont start and over loads on fuel

Reaching your Findings I would go to Checking the The Idea of Timing chain Problem
#1 Top Dead Center on Compression stroke, remove dist cap and see where Rotor is Pointing, it should be pointing at #1 Plug wire if not Timing chain & Gear Replacement time. If all Is Well there PLEASE Confide in Me I would Love to Help Thats My Mission here
