This code indicates a leak in the fuel vapor system know as the evap system this can be caused by several things. a faulty purge valve, a vent valve, any one of the fuel vapor lines or even a gas cap that is lose or the seal is bad on gas cap. to isolate the exact problem requires a high end scan tool and a smoke machine to find the problem. on this vehicle the two most common problems are a gas cap, or a bad vent valve

Abs light on with a p0452 code

ABS -- is one problem
Possible Wheel Speed Sensor ,but
you can't guess Use codes & other
resouces to diagnose

EVAP System Code PO452 -- may be a
Pressure Sensor issue ,all I have is Low Input
I assume that means high resistance in the solenoid coil,
thus low voltage detected
Again- need scanner & evap smoke machine ,to check out,
unless your guy shot guns common items & gets lucky at
your expense,changing parts

How to fix a p0442 on a chevrolet blazer

There is a small air leak in the evaperative emission control system, and they are not easy to find. Could be in anyone of the vacuum hoses.
The only sure way to find the leak is to call around and see who does smoke tests. What they do is, inject smoke into the system and where ever the leak is, the smoke will come out, otherwise you could search all day and never find it. All it takes is a pin hole in a vacuum hose to screw up the whole system.

Evap system where all the areas to check , to replace

I would find a garage that can perform a smoke test on the evap system. They inject smoke into the system and look for where it comes out.

I need to replace the evap hose and dont know how

This needs to be done at the dealer. They use a special tank of pressurized gas and scan tools. They also use a special fog machine that uses glycol to smoke out the leak.

I have a 2003 Trail Blazer with code 442 coming up (small leak in the EVAP system). I know of other owners with the same trouble. Replaced the gas cap without results. It seems to be a common problem, what...

  • Gas cap loose or improperly affixed
  • A non-conforming gas cap (i.e. not factory/original brand)
  • A small leak/hole in a fuel vapor hose/tube
  • Other small leak in EVAP system
  • Faulty vent o-ring seal
  • Thats what your looking for....

2002 chevy cavalier p0440 and service light is on

that is fuel tank evap related code.
It can be caused by simply removing the gas cap while the engine is running.
Dont get too concerned with this code if you think you may have opened the cap while car was running, the computer will soon turn the light off if all is well.
Other things Like ta cracked or faulty gas cap, The evap purge canister or hoses loose or cracked, filler neck hoses loose or cracked ,damaged orings on evap sensor. could also cause this code.
They often use a special smoke machine to diagnose leaks in the tank and evap system.
The special machine fills tank with smoke at 2 psi making it posible to spot leaks.
    Hope this helps.
If it does dont forget to leave a comment.

    2004 chrysler pacifica,i got engine light on.code p0440

his is an Evap sytem fault code. I have seen this problem with old gas caps not sealing correctly, restricted egr and evap canisters. The dealer can smoke test the system for around 50 bucks, but usually the parts can be cleaned (egr) or replaced (vacuum line).
