Common to lots of mitsubishi engine, form my experiences working on them for 5 years and diagnosing them 90% of the time for some odd reason computer trigger service engine light even-though you have replace all of the sensors. even when we plug into the computer, get the code and replace it, still come on, believe me we all are puzzles. many of us mechanics cant even figure it out why it does. I and others mechanics have seen some engine service lights come on under 50-100k miles that we cant figure it out after pulling the code and replacing the parts. My advice is, if you already had the professional look at it and they also cant figure it out chances are is that 90% problems we are talking about. the car run good even-though the the lights stay on, I would just ignore it as long it runs good.

The check engine light comes on whenever one or more of about 200 faults occur in the electronic engine or emmision controls, the only way to determine which system is causeing the problem is to have the system computer tested for the trouble code(s) that is stored when the light is turned on by the computer, which is known as the PCM

Why is a red check trans light flashing on 2005 rodeo, drives ok light flashes all the time

I wouldn't be using any vehicle with transmission issues

May have ruined it already, just using it a few miles-- verse--
actually checking for codes, diagnosing them & making the
required repairs,as with all vehicle issues & all dash lights
that stay on, after your motor is running

After driving my 2007 honda pilot for about 25 to 30 miles the engine light comes on then VSA light comes on then I lose power.SO I shut it off the car & have to wait a while then I can drive a li

Why did you not leave the vehicle at a repair shop or dealer
to be properly diagnosed & repaired

Any time you get any dash light on after the motor is running I
check for codes that day & get on with the required checking
& resolving within days or use another vehicle

You should stop using a vehicle with check lights & faults
& forget the free codes checks at the parts stores

Always use a professional scan tool & look at all data real time
generic & enhanced something a code read won't do & go for
a long road test with the scan along

Cylinder misfires will ruin an expensive exhaust converter
as will vacuum leaks, leaking injectors etc.

Today's vehicles need to be 100% or parked or you create
problems,do damage, run up your repair costs & shorten the
life of the vehicle all thanks to the Govt Emission non-sense

The idle on my 98 Isuzu Rodeo shoots up AFTER driving for awhile, then goes back to normal after killing the engine for awhile. Need some troubleshooting suggestions. Thanks

You more than likely have a idler sensor bad. It could also be a O2 sensor. Is your check engine light on ? If so, you can take it to Auto Zone and they will check it for you for free.

it sounds like the egr valve is sticking open a little and causing a vac. leak. this is a common problem with this many miles on vehicle.try disconnecting vac line going to egr and test drive and see if it still has the same problem but it might set ck engine light.you can clear the light by taking the battery loose or taking efi fuse out for about 30 seconds. i hope this will help you......good luck and let me know.........

I have a 2000 Camry - 6 cylinder with about 180,000 miles on it. The Check engine light came on and it showed three codes - P0125, P1130 and P1135 - We put in a new thermostat - and still the check engine...

Was the computer reset after the thermostat was replaced?? If not, it must be reset to clear prior codes. as for the p1130/1135, they are related here is some info>>>>http://www.engine-light-help.com/toyota-engine-light.html

180,000 mile scheduled service

looking at my repair manual....the ford expedition only goes to a 60,000 mile schedule. so my input would be that the dealer will run a computer check which is $95 minimum and go from there. They will also run a drivetrain check and performance check. they will probably check for leaks, serpentine belt wear, front end and brake issues etc..basically everything and anything you ask for. i usually do all my own preventative maintenance. if they try to tell you something is wrong and you have not had any problems i would get a second opinion from a reputable garage before i would let the clowns start dismantling your vehicle.

standing at the front of the car pull the cover off the left side of the motor and check the belt. No tools are required the check the belt. Cover pulls up and off. It's to the left end of the valve cover.
