Open the unit up, and remove the entire center section. The battery is on the other side.

Testimonial: "Very helpful. Was afraid to remove the electronics as I might mess things up. However, that is only way to change battery. Thanks much for your help."

Reopen the unit, and extract the entire center section; the battery is on the other side of the internal circuit board.

If you have the type of remote control that is part of the key head and not a separate unit, here is how to replace the battery:

Open the outer case on the key using the "pry point" at the ring loop at the top of the key. Remove the interior assembly from the outer case. You then have to open this inside unit by using a small screwdriver to gently pry the black case away from the white part of the unit. You now will see the circuit board. Lift out the board and turn it over to expose the battery. Remove the battery [CR2016] and install a new one. Press any one of the "buttons" on the inside unit board and a red led should light up showing that it is working. Reassembly is just a matter of reversing the process and snapping the parts together. This style requires a few more steps the many other remotes but it is really easy to do so don’t let this discourage you from doing it yourself.

Be sure to watch that the rubber backing of the key head does not fall out as the buttons will fall out.

My keyless entry to my 2007 E63 Mercedes. Pull the drivers handle and the doors unlock then lock again. Third try and the windows come down halfway. Passengers door no problem and can open that without...

If the remote batteries are low the car will tell you on the information center by the speedometer. The door handle on the keyless entry is malfunctioning. You must replace the door handle. It usually cost around $160 plus shipping cost. Sometimes the contacts within the keyless entry become corroded or broke. Nevertheless, you need to replace it or have someone replace it. There is one screw behind the weather scrip that holds it in place. You will need a torex wrench to remove it.

Where can you purchase battery for keyless entry for 2007 Nissan

The best place to purchase a replacement battery is AutoZone. They have a tester there to make sure everything is working. It should be on the help counter.

Keyless Remote 2008 RAV4

You can take it back to the dealer, and have them change the battery, or go to Autozone, buy the battery and do it yourself. They can show you how to do it. And which battery it takes. It's not hard to do. Good luck.
