Most electrical problems stem from bad ground connections. look around your car close to where these lights connect. See if you have a corrossion issue (rust). All the grounds connect to the body or frame of the car. Also pull the bulbs, and check the bulb contact terminals in the recepticles themselves for corrossion. Clean the contact surfaces, and an ground connections thouroughly with contact cleaner, or in bad cases a wire brush (preferebly stainless), or a small piece of light grit sand paper (preferebly wet or dry), as it is less likely to leave behind any byproducts that might add to your problems.
If you know how to use a meter, and have one; run an ohmeter check from the ground contact on the bulb recepticle and the other terminal to the ground (a clean bare metal patch on the body or frame). If the meter deflects to around zero or slightly more, than you have a good ground on that end, and the ground from the buss (where the fuze is located usually) may be where the problem is. You can check that end by first disconnecting the battery, then running the same ohmeter check on the negative (ground end) of the fuze location to a clean body or frame surface.

The circuits are on two different fuses, but both are controlled by the headlight switch. I would check for power at those fuses then at the switch.

Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

These are Dual Function Bulbs. They control the Parking Lights and the Brake Lights. This Bulb is Burnt out on the Brake Coil inside the Bulb. I have actually seen Bulbs that were Bad But you could not Tell by jast looking at them. It should be fine with a New Bulb. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
