SOURCE: battery removal on a 2004 GMC Envoy

The battery is on the right side behind the fuse box. You need a metric set to undo the 3 screws. Theres one that attaches to the body, one to the bar that goes along the top, and theres one on the left side below the vacuum hose and air induction. After you've taken out those three, you should lift the whole thing out(battery and shroud) together. It's hard to take the shroud off before you lift the battery out. After that, you have to pry the shoud off the battery. The two terminals in the back make it hard. Then just go to any auto parts store and they'll give you a new one.

one, five, three, six, two, four

The plastic intake should have this sequence molded into it somewhere, and even the corresponding cylinder numbers in front of their respective holes. Have fun, and thanks for posting on Fixya.com

SOURCE: 2002 gmc envoy shuts off when i turn on the ac whil ideling

If it does it when idling I would suspect an IAC motor (Idle Air Control). If it is opening too slowly the added air the motor needs will not be supplied fast enough and the engine will kill.

It could be other things also but this is where I would start.

SOURCE: Removing rear air suspension on GMC Envoy

Just behind right rear tire up in the wheel well. Air inlet is inside right rear quarter near the accessory inflator. Compressor runs 3 lines one for the accessory inflator and one for each air bag.
THere are also 2 sensors, one on each trailing arm that senses load and then raises and lowers accordingly.

Replacing grill on my 2002 Envoy after minor accident. It's equipped with headlight washers. Can I just buy a grill without headlight washer holes and cap off the hoses?

Yes, you may be able to, but we do not know where you might do so. Call around.
Know that, if the washers are standard equipment, you may be hard pressed to find a grille with out them.
Another option.
If you do not want the holes, find a couple of tiny chrome plated screws and insert them in the holes.
The screws or bolts, whatever you can find, could be plastic or chromed metal.
God bless your efforts.

How to change a 2004 GMC envoy front light

Drivers side- stick your hand down by the alternator and over behind the headlight. You'll feel a 3" round rubber boot, just pull this off. Twist the bulb out and replace it.

Passenger side- remove the air cleaner top, at this point, you'll have a lot of room to remove the rubber boot and replace the bulb.

The other method is to remove the grill, but pulling on this can break or crack the grill easily, so I choose this way.

I need to replace center front grille on 2003 envoy

Hi, the grille is attached with clips. The lips have to be released with a screwdriver, or a flat bladed tool. Once the clips are released, the grille will come off. If you have headlamp washers, the hose will have to be removed as well. Good luck...Coop

Replace the ambient air temperature sensor.
