I belive what you are describing is the can that holds your oil filter. Have you tried to tighten up that screw that appeaers loose? You may also need to replace a washer or sealing ring under it in order to stop the leak. They normally used either a copper washer or o'ring for a seal. You will just have to look and see if you can tell.

There is a oil leaking in my benz model 94 c280 and smoke always comes under the hood after driving few miles

Could be your valve cover is leaking onto the exhaust manifold, try tighten the valve cover screws a bit and wipe oil off of everything and after awhile check for leaks,if that doesn't work, then you may need to replace your valve cover gaskets.

2011 chev cruze. Strong smell of exhaust intermittently and smoke from under hood.

Why are you even using it?

You know you have to at least look under the hood

You know your diagnostic abilities

So we are going to guess at what I ask?

My 99 explorers fuel pump went bad so i had to push it out of a parking lot. My wife got behind the wheel and took it out of gear and we started pushing i looked down and noticed that the reverse ligh

I doubt it. The brake system would not know or care what the transmission was doing.
You could move the truck with the trans in reverse as long as it was not running. No difference from being in drive or reverse.
I have pushed power steering fluid out of the pump by turning the wheel with the engine off, but never brake fluid from the master cyl.

check that the oil filter is not loose or leaking from the gasket. check that when filling the engine oil was not spilt over the rocker cover and has run down onto the exhaust manifold

Engine wont start driving with e-brakes on

It could be that the engine has a cracked cylinder or blown head gasket.
Drop the engine oil and check for water presence.Check the radiator for oil presence.
Pull off the rocker cover cap and check for condensation.
Any sign of contamination in either the radiator or engine, is a sign that the headgasket or cylinder is faulty.

Brake peddle went down in one nite maybe vacumm line gone where is it on master cylinder thx

The master cylinder and booster are on the left top of the firewall, under the hood. But if the pedal goes to the floor I would not suspect vacuum. I would check for leaks.
Look at the fluid level in the brake resivour. If its low then look behind the wheels for any fluid that has run down onto the tires. The master cylinder could also be leaking inside the booster. Look at the master where it bolts to the boster for leaks (may or may not show signs). If there is no fluid loss it could still be the master bypassing internally.

My 2006 Camry runs out of brake fluid very often. last time I fill it full and it lasted only 2 months until the brake light started flashing. I haven't noticed any leaks. what could be the issue. Roy

your break system should never need fluid, as your breaks wear down you will see a little lower level in the resivour. if you are adding that much fluid and you don't see any leaks at any of the wheels, your break booster could be leaking. where you add the fluid at the master cylinder there is a vacume booster that has a diafram in side, look carefully around the bottom of this diafram out side under the hood, I have seen them leak inside also where the break passes thru the fire wall you may feel the oil on the carpet under the dash. if you see no leaks keep looking you are loosing oil some where

My car is running out of Anti-freeze rapidly, but there is no visible leak under the car or in the engine

You must have a intake manifold or head gasket problem, check to see if the oil level is high, if so it's most likely a intake gasket. Running a engine with this kind of problem won't last long.

My car started smelling funny...pulled over lifted hood and it was steaming...white smoke came from under hood and tail pipe, car would not start again. Some say it may be a head gasket? How would I know?

You can tell by looking at dip stick if the oil has a creamy white substance there is antifreeze getting in oil (blown head gasket) or if ther is excessive white smoke coming from exhaust pipe upon acceleration. steam from under hood may be a coolant leak from a rubber hose or it may be leaking from the cylinder head onto the exhaust manifold also the car will be using up antifreeze.
