Question about 2004 Volkswagen Beetle
That is the check engine light and it is to alert you that the computer has identified a fault in one of the car's systems. I suggest taking the car to an autoparts store and have them scan the computer. Most parts stores will do the scan for free. Getting the codes will show what the computer noted so appropriate action can be taken to address problems/potential problems. Sorry for your trouble and I hope this helped. Best wishes.
