If you didn't find any problems with the above solution, make sure that the proper tires are on the vehicle, you can do this by checking the sticker on the drivers door or the glovebox lid.

1997 Toyota struts

If you had the struts done, you should have had an alignment done asap afterwards. If you didnt, that could be why the struts have gone bad already.

The left rear is tilts in

It sounds like your strut snapped its rod. Jack up the car near that wheel. Leave the tire on. Grab the top of the tire and pull it toward you. If the strut is bad it will move toward you a little bit, maybe 2 inches. Once you have it moving look over the top of the tire and see if the metal rod coming out of the strut is moving back and forth. If it is then you need a new strut. This is a VERY common problem with those cars. They have some of the worst rear struts ever made.

1989 VW beatle. engine running will not go into

I'm going to assume it is an automatic transmission,

Check the brake switch for malfunction,

NOT the brake......the brake light switch,

The cruise control, brake light and shift lever over ride all connected to rhe same circuit.

Check all fuse first, bulbs and move onto checking the brake switch,
