You may have to open up the rear AC and inspect if it is just the signal from the temp control does not go to the evaporator (the coils inside the car).. could be caused by a loose connection or faulty control unit. Inspect for dirt. In some cases having the evaporator cleaned would solve the issue.

My gmc yukon 2000 slt rear ac blows hot air when i have ac . on and the front works fine .

I have a 2000 GMC Savana Van SLT with front and rear AC/Heat. My front would blow hot while the rear blew cold with AC on. It turned out to be low on Freon. It's hard to know if you have the right amount of freon installed because pressures vary depending on the ambient temperatures. So the best way is to remove all the freon then reinstall the recommended amount as listed on the evaporator housing near the firewall. This worked fine for me... works like new after installing the correct amount of freon.

Why does the air conditioning in my 2003 GMC Yukon blow cold in the front but HOT in the back like the heat is on. It blows good just hot air. I have read that it could be the heater valve not closing...Is...

To check the rear expansion valve, see if the a/c lines are different temperatures. One line to the rear evaporator should be hot and the other cold if it is working.
Try to recailbrate the blend door actuator. Remove the HVAC module fuse. Wait at least 15 seconds. Replace it, turn the key on and wait 40 seconds

I would definitely not go back to them. If they won't tell you, it may either be because they don't know and would just be on a "fishing" expedition to find the problem, or they are planning to take advantage of you. Find an honest mechanic who will talk straight to you.

I have a gmc yukon , front a/c works fine, thou the rear a/c does not blow cold air. The fan still works thou once engine is heated up, rear air blows heat.

you have a seperate peice for the rear air in the side panel in the very back of truck that either needs freon or replaced if thats the case you need to take it some where that knows how to change it but when my friends went out it was expensive to have it fixed

I have a 2004 GMC Yukon with auto climate control. The front a/c is working but the fan will not come on. The rear a/s works fine. Checked fuses, they are all good. Any suggestions?

It's most likely your blower motor control module. Easy fix! Remove the kick plate under the glove compartment and the module is right next to your blower motor - remove the two screws and it will drop right out. Disconnect the wire harness (2 wires) and replace. Good luck!
