Get under the car and see if it seems wet or if anywhere is leaking, and does the car act any differently? If you let it drop to 0 is it running fine? If the car doesn't seem to have an issue then it's most likely you need a new sending unit for your oil pressure

The oil pressure gauge in my Bronco 2 suddenly dropped to zero after fluctuating from below zero to mid range while accelerating. Checked oil level and was fine. Can I still drive it? About 130 miles away...

You need to verify that you actually have oil pressure before continuing to drive. It may only be the sender or the gauge, but you need to verify oil pressure. The sender is on the right side of the engine block, remove that, pull your coil wire so the engine won't start, and crank it over. If you have oil pressure, oil will squirt out of hole.

The check gages light comes on and off while driving, at the same time, the oil pressure gage drops and then bounces back up after hitting zero

There a couple of possibilities; you could have an intermittent oil pressure switch or an intermittent stepper motor in the instrument cluster. The stepper motor drives the gauge.

I have a 2005 trailblazer. The oil pressure gauge is ffine running around 40-50. When I come to a stop it drops to zero (under 1000rpms) I change the oil last night and it stilldoes this

The correct way of checking this is to put a mechanical test gauge on the engine and check the actual oil pressure. (your gauge is electro mechanical and it could have a "dead spot" in it.) However, if you don't have a test gauge, buying one or having a shop test it will cost you far more than the actual sending unit would. Therefore, providing that the engine isn't knocking or tapping while the gauge reads "0" ( which would indicate that the pressure was indeed low) I'd suggest that you replace the sending unit and see if it corrects the problem. The unit generally costs around $25.

Oil pressure gauge goes to zero and back to normal after turning engine off.no codes or idiot lights or oil loss or burning even sounds fine.pressure loss on gauge after 1hrs. driving

It could possibly be a bad gauge, this is a pretty common issue for Trailblazers to have. Here's a link with more information about these GM gauge problems. Also, where you can purchase replacement parts on Amazon if you want to do the repair yourself.

2002 chevy trailblazer. 1.oil pressure gauge drops to zero at idle spuraticly 2 where is the sensor that controls the dash guage note: when i unplug the sensor @ the oil filter and the one on the passenger...

the sensor is on the side of the engine block. there's two thing that monitors oil. a pressure switch turns you oil light on and you oil pressure sensor the operates your gauge, start with your sensor. that is near you oil filter that is where it gets it pressure reading from
