It sounds like you have something on all the time, that is draining the battery. Check for things like trunk light, etc.
You can tell if there is something on, because with the engine and everything off, there should be no current flow between the batter post and the cable you took off. So you can put a volt meter between them, and get 0. If you instead get 12 volts, then something is on. You can pull fuses one at a time to try to narrow it down. But it could also be the alternator, if a diode goes bad, and that has no fuse. You can just unplug the alternator and see if the drain goes away. While diodes are only a buck, rebuilding the alternator will run more like $50.

2006 Malibu not turning over.

You never remove the + battery cable , unless you remove the negative first .
it is actually neg that u want to remove when u work on your car, when you remove the neg cable the whole car cannot make a connection or short, there are parts of the car that hold juice, once you remove the negative cable there is no path for current to travel.
look at it this way, most all metal in the car is the ground and pull the ground cable at the battery and there is no circuit.

there are older cars that were positive chassis, complete opposite, but thru electrolysiss the metal quickly deteriorated.

trust me remove the negative cable, not the positive.

the best thing people could do is make a quick disconnect for the neg. terminal for service.

Your best bet , take your vehicle to a qualified ASE certified repair shop . Would not want you to hurt youself , batteries can explode with sparking when hooking up a battery .

Anti theft system in a 1997 Cad.Seville "Starter disabled" Car has been sitting for a while in humid conditions.

you may have to start from scratch with starting your car. does your radio have to be recoded after the battery dies? if so do not attempt to do this!! remove the positive side of battery terminal for 10 mins. this will reset the cars computer. whan you put the positive cable back onto the battery the car should start, if not, try to boost the car. the car should start. hope this helps and thank you for choosing

My car want start it turns over but want start

You could try resetting the computer. The car maybe in lockout mode. Try turning your car over….leave the ignition on. Wait exactly 10 min. Then try turning over again….again leave the key on. Wait exactly 10 min and do it a third time….this time the car should start…maybe run a lil rough while it relearns the processes of your vehicle again. It is important to wait the exact 10 min each time. You will probably need a battery charger or a set of jumper cables because if your car goes low during this process it will not work. Good luck and I hope this works.

How do i know if i need to replace the oxygen sensor?

on your vehicle the obd1 computer is not as sensitive as obd2 .i have seen o2 sensor not working and no codes were set. so if the sensor looks rusty on the out side or you know that the sensor has not been changed in several years i would replace the o2 sensor.remove the battery ground cable for a couple of minutes to clear the learned values, replaced the o2 sensor then reconnect the ground cable start engine let idle for 2 minutes in park, then 1 min. in drive, then drive for approx.10 min. this will help the computer to relearn.hope this helped
