Question about 1997 Infiniti.5 J30
Car will not start i can remove battery cable fir 10 min. and car will start
It sounds like you have something on all the time, that is draining the battery. Check for things like trunk light, etc.
You can tell if there is something on, because with the engine and everything off, there should be no current flow between the batter post and the cable you took off. So you can put a volt meter between them, and get 0. If you instead get 12 volts, then something is on. You can pull fuses one at a time to try to narrow it down. But it could also be the alternator, if a diode goes bad, and that has no fuse. You can just unplug the alternator and see if the drain goes away. While diodes are only a buck, rebuilding the alternator will run more like $50.
