My head lights seem like they have a short. when I turn the car on the lights turn on just fine. however, when I am driving about a minute later a headlight goes out. sometimes it just one but sometimes it's both. Help !!
If u have HID this means your bulbs are going bad .
IF THEY ARE HID THE BULBS ARE BAD HAPPENS ON THE PRIUS AS WELL
If it were a short it would blow a fuse. It sounds more like an open, in other words a lack of connection. I would suspect a problem with the headlight relay, under the hood. The next time it happens, give the relay box a good rap with a screwdriver handle or something similar and see if the lights come on. Even if they don't, that doesn't necessarily mean the relay is not the problem. Your light switch couldn't be the problem, and since sometimes it's one light and sometimes both, loose connections at the back of the bulb are probably not to blame.
