How do I disconnect or disable factory car alarm on 2006 chevy colbalt

You can't. Unless you're an electrical engineer. But at best all you can do is bypass the key. But the car has to be functional to do this. If you can't duplicate the signals, you can't build it. Passlock III is a pain to bypass.

Car shuts down after 20 minutes of driving

a likely problem is a fuel pump going down...as it gets warm, it heats up the wiring inside and they expand causing a loss of connection inside the pump...As it cools, it comes back together and works again...when it dies out turn the key off and listen closely for the pump to hum when you turn the key on...If it doesn't wait for it to cool and then when you try again listen and if you hear it and it starts, that's your problem...fuel pumps will go bad quickly if you don't keep your tank at least a quarter to half full as the gas is what keeps it cool so it don't get too hot and melt the shellac on the wiring which will eventually short out...

A 2007 chevy colbalt my key is stuck in the ignition i tried turning the steering wheel as well as turnng the key back and forth the key still wont come out.

The most likely cause is the shifter. The BTSI solenoid is not working properly. The shifter will have to be replaced to fix the problem.

Chevy Cobalt: key stuck in ignition

Does anyone know what the recalled part is for the Chevy Cobalt that causes the key to get stuck in the ignition? I would greatly appreciate any help on this as I do not have $600 to get it fixed.

I can not remove the key from my chevy colbalt 2006 i think is probably lock and i dont know what to do

In the Cobalt the problem is that there is a small bar in the shifter that is supposed to hit a micro switch and that bar can came out of place.
It will not hitting that micro switch to allow the ignition to release the key when the car is in park.
What to do is tear the center council apart and pull the whole shift mechanism out and reposition the bar and put it all back together.  Yes it's a pain and time consuming
Good luck and hope this helps, and be careful not to damage the ignition lock, you could damage the wires in the ignition lock for the anti theft.
