I own a 2006 Pontia Pursuit. I've noticed that my parking lights are on during the day. Can anyone tell me if it should be the headlight or organge parking lights for the day running light?

I had the same thing happen to my 05 pontiac pursuit, it was the shifter, the car wasnt reading it was in park, about a $200 fix.

Make sure you have that battery tested for a Dead Cell. It is common to have volts which allows you to have lights and power windows and radio and such but it won't crank teh vehicle because it doesn't have Amps. Auto Zone, Pep Boys and just about any other large auto parts store will load test the battery for free.

The Body Control Module is the problem.Models with black faced gauges are most noticeable. Also,on rainy,foggy,or overcast days, the headlights will come on,but the instrument panel lights do not.GM states these condition are "normal" and refuses warranty service-Document ID# 1530511

Check grounds and connections at battery 1st.Also may have alternator not putting out correctly.
