Question about 1993 Cadillac Fleetwood
I traced the fuel line from the front canister back past the rear wheel on drivers side of the vehicle and ther is NO fuel filter. Why is that? This vehicle was assembled in Texas by Texans according to the sticker on the inside jamb of the drivers door. Tomorrow I am removing the gas tank. The car is dead in my yard, won't start. I removed the fuel line at the canister in the front and cranked the engine and no gas came out. I even tried to fill the fuel line and then reattached to the canister and still nothing. This sympthom sounds like a fuel filter but there isn't one so when I drop the gas tank I'll remove the gas line there and blow through it and it should be clear which means it must be the fuel pump.
Some gm vehicles have an internal pump and filter (not strainer), and if not then its either under the hood somewhere, or in between the wheels under the car attached to the frame
