Question about 1997 Nissan Maxima
Can you use the RED battery cable off a 1995 Nissan 200sx on a 1997 Nissan Maxima? I think the Maximas is faulty...and they look the same, kinda. I have a 200sx that isn't being driven and needs ANOTHER catalytic converter to pass smog here in CA...my son's friend has a 1997 Maxima that has intermittent starting/electrical problems, battery good (new), alternator tested okay, starts fine if jumped. Noticed on one of the jumps that when the dual wire was clamped with the jump cable (and not connected to the other battery) it all of sudden juiced up. Unclamped it and nada...no buzzing alarm, no lights, no hazzards. BUT that clamp has to be on just right or nothing happens??? I want to take the cable out of my Nissan and try it on her nissan to see if that corrects the problem. Are they compatable??
THERE MAY BE A DIFFERANCE IN LENGHTH, BUT SHOULD WORK
