Question about 2000 Volkswagen Beetle
My car died a couple days ago, wouldn't turn on/over/anything. Got a jump and it worked fine, so I figured I'd leave directly and get a new battery. I parked my car in the lot, talked to a mechanic and was told to drive around. Car started fine, stopped in the shop, got a new battery and then it wouldn't start again, same as before with the old battery. I asked for them to jump it... after five minutes, it worked. And that seems to work every time I need to start my car... what's the problem? And moreover, what's the solution?
It sounds like your alternator is not charging your battery properly. I would have that tested.
