I belive it would be the wire that actually sends the control signal to the controller?...correct? well the if so you would need to tap into the wire casing with a test light to see which wire is lighting the test light when the brake pedal is depressed good luck

I have cruise control in a Toyota prado 2011 150 series manual and it doesn't work how do I get it working again

cruise controls need all of the following sensors to be in line to work
VSS sensor (road speed 0
tacho (engine rpms)
brake pedal sensor
clutch pedal sensor
power to the unit (fuses)
any one unit not performing will stop the cruise control from working

New trailer wiring for my 06 Nissan Maxima wont work on traile

Have you tried a heavy duty flasher? Also, if your signals & brake lights are 2 different bulbs, as in amber for signals & red for stop, then you will need a small in line converter to separate those 2 as most vehicles use same bulb for signal & stop.

2001 Dodge Dakota Trailer Brake Wiring

Call dealer & ask them to run your vin# to see if it came with towing package. They shouldn't mind. If not, you'll have to wire it in yourself.
