Sounds like the door that switches between hot/cold is not closing all the way, it is controlled by an electronic module.

2003 chevy 1500 ss only blows cold air no heat

Dual climate control on these is not a manual valve adjuster. It is done electronicly with a electric motor on a valve instead of ran by a maual cable. Find this and check the plug for a 12 volt signal. If you are getting a signal replace the valve, if not it could be a blown fuse, cut wire, or a bad climate contol switch.

I have a 2003 Buick Rendezvous. The drivers side blows hot air and the passenger side blows cold air. The car has that dual zone climate control. I have no clue where to start.

The actuator that 'blends' cold with hot is stuck in the cold position. There are a couple of options. Disconnect the battery, then drive the vehicle around without using the AC for 10 min, if the AC is defaulted to come on after a battery interuption, then shut the car down then turn it on again. You are trying to get the electronic actuator to reset and resume proper function. Another option is to try this: Start the car, adjust the pax side full hot, drivers full cold, wait 30 sec then shut car down, then start car back up and reverse the settings, pax full cold, drivers full hot. In both solutions, the vent actuators are stuck at either the full open or full closed, so you are trying to get it to 'self check' and allow them to resume proper function. After two years, I simply removed them altogether since I live where it is hot an only need cold.works just fine....

I have a 1997 Pontiac Gran Prix and the air conditioner is full blast on the passenger side and on the drivers side is hot air?

I think these cars have dual climate control. Basically, the driver and passenger can set their own climate. Some like it hotter than others, is the thinking. If this is the case, you need a new climate control module. If not, I am at a complete loss.

Good luck!

My 1998 olds silh. back ac doesnt blow cold .

before you tear apart the dash to get to your driver side servo motor-disconnect your battery for 5-minutes, with both front doors open reconnect your battery(this resets your on board computer),then turn your car on and turn your a/c on to high with the coldest setting on both sides for dual air systems and leave the car running for a few minutes. you will feel the air cold again. there is a sensor on the passenger side that will trigger the servo motor to not move if the front door is closed. servos usually get stuck after the power was cut off. if this does not do it, have your a/c sytem checked for leaks.

this is also worth considering:

Dual Climate System. If you're not familiar with this setup, there's a driver and passenger climate setting. The passenger setting knob is on the right of the climate control console. If you have already properly adjusted this setting, there's a problem with the servo motor being out of the preset range for the a/c & heater doors. Every time power is cut from the unit, the servo resets the doors by doing a "sweep" from full cold to full hot maximum range. Over time the servo will fall out of range from constant full range flexing, and the part that controls the range limit must be replaced. Reseting the main module by disconnecting the battery has a slim chance of successfully fixing the issue.

The dual ac/heating on my 2003 Tahoe is not working properly. The passenger side will only produce hot air when the selector for the passenger side is in full cold. The driver's side works fine. What do...

I have a similar problem except mine started today changeing from a/c to hot air. I had the system checked at the dealer no leaks etc...I was just told that it could possibly be the climate control/ control switches in the in the dash. Yo could have teh same issue.

Car has dual climate control, however no heat is getting to the drivers side causing defrost issues. There is adequate airflow, but it is all cold even when set at full heat.

this is a vacume controled control panel, if a vacum line has come of one of the two climate contols that could cause you greef.
