Question about 2006 Mazda 3
Car runs fine, CEL steady, just came on.
There are many issues that can cause the light to be illuminated that do not affect engine performance such as canister vent valve/solenoid, leaking vapor hoses, fuel cap with bad seal or check valve and so on. You will need to retrieve the code(s) in order to know where to begin. You can go to autozone to have them do it, or take it to a repair facility and have them do a diagnostic check. The latter is a better choice. Once you have the code you can begin a diagnostic check of the affected system.
