Hello, I have a 1993 Chrysler New Yorker. A few months ago, the windshield washer light started appearing as if it was empty, but each time that I have started the car it stays on. Now, my windshield wipers come on AUTOMATICALLY in slow mode every fifteen seconds EVERY TIME I START 1993 NEW YORKER. It's embarrassing on a SUNNY DAY with the wipers running on its own. What can I do to correct this?

This sounds like a faulty switch or the beginnings of an ECM problem. Disconnect the wiper switch under the dash or in the steering column and see if the problem is still there. If not then you have a bad switch module. If it is you will need to have it diagnosed at the shop.

Why wont my chrysler new yorker start

It could be the battery. How old is the battery. They are only rated for so many years. Most batteries are rated for 5 years, however some cheap ones are rated for 2 years. After this time, the battery will lose some capacity meaning it will have the power to power things like cd player, lights, etc that do not require much power. However, to start the engine requires massive amounts of power that the battery can give out while under that year range. After the battery leaves this range, it does not have the capacity to start and engine. If you battery is old, and you suspect something like this might be happening, take the car to an auto store like Autozone. They should be more than happy to check you battery with their tool to see if it still has the capacity to start your engine. Hope this helps
