Take it to a shop and get them to scan it for a faulty oxygen sensor

Testimonial: "Thanks so much! I will do that...is that very expensive considering everything else that I have done to it?"

It should not be more than 30 minutes of labor if that much all they do is plug in a code reader to your car's computer to see what the fault codes will say is wrong. If it is the oxygen sensor they cost any where from $100.00 to $150.00 depending on your area

Where is 2003 buick century sensor located

Before you did any repairs to address your overheating problem, did you check to see if your fans were working at all ? One way to check if they are working is by starting your vehicle and turning the A/C on, they should automatically start running. If they do not, begin to perform diagnosis to that electric circuit.

2000 FORD EXPEDITION OVERHEATING....changed thermostat, radiator cap, confirmed fan clutch is working, no radiator leak noted, changing coolant temperature sensor as a type...water pump not leaking or...

yes. the impellor on these engines have a tendency to come off the water pump.First you can see if the pump is working by removing a heater hose then have someone to start the engine. if the water sprays a good, solid stream out then the water pump is good. if the water just barely comes out or not at all then the pump is weak or "bad".

2005 Nissan Sentra overheating. Changed the water pump. Did a radiator flush. What else could it be??

Some thing too check:
Make sure coolant level is up to line and clean (not dirty, do to clogged radiator, may need to be flushed or replaced).
Make sure air flow through the out side of radiator is clear (dirt, leaves, ect..) .
Make sure fan is working properly equip t (is not running too slow). Or Manual (belt driven) fan clutch is working properly, not loose or spinning too freely?
Check for broken or cracked fan blades itself.
Check radiator cap, (no gasket tears).
Could be thermostat going bad ?
Could be coolant temperature sensor/switch (from computer) going bad?
Check radiator hose(s) (too soft, may collapse)?
In some rare cases:
Timing could be off.
Could be water pump.
Could be blown head gasket(s).
Could have cracked head(s).
ECT..............Hope this was some help???

I keep overheating changed out thermostat and fan and still overheating I fill the hose with coolant and it all goes into the overfill tank and gets hot and boils out

A clogged radiator could be your problem. Flushing won't necessarily clean out a clogged radiator.
When it's idling and getting hot, the clutch fan should be running full on, actually "roaring" as some say, and the electric auxiliary fan or fans should be on if you have them. Also test your radiator cap, replace if needed. Hope this helps.

My 2002 xterra has started running hot..code po 217 came on..after gas cap was put on wrong..cleared code put gas cap on right then fine for 2 weeks..when idleing heat gauge rises high..as soon as i rev...

p0217 is coolant over temperature. the fan clutch may be slipping or the thermostat is bad. changing the thermostat would probably be the easiest and most inexpensive fix to determine the problem.

Heating problem

If you changed the thermostat yourself and have noted that the lower radiator hose is cooler than the upper radiator hose, you may have installed the thermostat incorrectly or have purchased a faulty thermostat. A lower radiator hose that does not get hot (or as hot as the upper radiator hose) is a direct indication of a faulty thermostat. Please vote for this solution if you found this to be helpful. Engine overheating at high rpms

check the casting on your replacement water pump..4.0l engines require a reverse rotating water pump..may be causing your problem.
