The late model Grand Ams and Malabu's had trouble with the emergency flasher. It is the flasher button on the dash. GMsounds like the turn singals/ - 2.gif Incorporated the flasher for the directionals into the emergency switch. Try replacing that switch. In the last 10 years I have only seen one that was not that switch

Clicking sound

There are obviously many different potential sources for this noise!

It would be helpful if we could know exactly where you hear it coming from, but, alas, I will give sometips.

If it happens during acceleration, then it could be from "pinging" from bad gasoline, you could change to a higher grade (87 to 91).

A rotating part such as a pulley, water pump, etc could be making these noises from under the hood. If you hear it, try to open the hood and listen to isolate the sound!

It could be coming from the transmission. Your torque converter may be slightly tapping the housing (not likely, but have seen on another vehicle that had a tranny job done recently).

Again, if you can further narrow down the location, it would be helpful.

Are any check engine lights or ABS lights on, or any other abnormal lights on in the dash?

My 1989 cadillac deville turn signals wont blink

I am taking a wild guess that your car is old enough to have a turn signal flasher.
It should be under the dashboard where it is almost impossible to see! Here's how to find it:
Find a good flashlight and a little tiny person. :-)
Turn on your 4-way flashers, and look up under the dashboard, to the left of your speedometer. (See why I said a small person?)
The 4-way flasher should be clicking.
Look at the shape and size of that flasher that is making the clicking sound, and you should see another one close to it just like it that is not making any noise.
That should be your regular turn signal flasher, it's probably be ready for a new one.
Usually they plug in.

My turn singal wont come on an its makes noise when I do turn it on a 99 durango 4x4

The noise you here may be a bad flasher, sometimes you hear a buzzing sound.I have found that a lot of dodge, jeep and Chrysler have a problem with aftermarket flashers.Sometimes the flasher will go bad and not work or make noise. If you like you can go to an auto parts store and try the flasher they sell, if you have a problem still then try a dealer flasher.See if the 4 way flashers work, or try to put signal on and gentle move the signal switch arm up , or down and see if the signal starts to work. if it does then you have a bad signal switch, also called a multi-function switch. let me know the out come, good day.

Where is the flasher relay sincer at on a saturn sl1 model 1992. 1.9 motor ,and the turn singal s relay or what can cause the fiasher s and turn singals from working

saturn fuse panels, and relays are plugged into them, are located to the left of your front passenger's knee under a panel on the side of the console, and under a lid marked "fuse panel" directly behind the driver side head light. the panel is velcro'd on and the under hood lid comes off with a thumb screw.

if the mult-function switch, which is behind the steering wheel, has gone south, your signals won't work.

The turn singal noise just keeps going off, its not actually flashing lights just the noise... how can I fix this???

the hazzard flashers and turn signals are all in one unit. so the flasher switch needs replaced on dash. there is a timer within the hazzard switch.remove the trim around switch, it just pulls out, but be carefull it is fragile. just put something behind trim to pull it off. but first check for screws at insrument panel. after trim is off, take out the screws that hold it in. i think there are 2 screws. then pull it straight out, and disconnect wiring harness. have a good day !!
