What would cause a clutch not to releace all the way when the peddle is mashed

Either the clutch needs adjustment, or throwout bearing is going bad and needs replacement. If it's the latter, have entire clutch service done. A Chilton/Haynes repair manual from your local parts store can help you trouble shoot this issue.

What does mash down the clutch mean??? If you get a noise whenever you depress the clutch pedal it may be that the throwout bearing is gone.

I put a new clutch in a 1993 mustang gt and when i mash the clutch pedal the clutch dosent disingage what would cause that.

your clutch fork either is'nt on the throwout bearing properly or on the pivot ball stud. odds are its off the pivot ball stud or you may have missed putting it back in, (it happens) do you have little to no firmness when you push the clutch in? and alot of play when you grab ahold of the fork by hand?

Sounds like a slipping transmission or a slipping clutch. Without more info that is about all I Can say about it at this point.

I have a 1990 isuzu trooper at start up oil psi is around 50 as i drive it the pressure will drop to around 20psi. if i mash in the clutch the pressure climbs back up then when i ingage clutch it will fall...

Sounds like you need an oil change! refill with the proper grade of oil. When the oil is cold it has the effect of having the oil pressure higher than when hot.

Transmission wont engaged when mashing the clutch

Sometime this can be a sign of a bad clutch plate. This happens when you are pushing in the clutch, but the wheel that locks the clutch into the next gear just keep spinning.

My 99 cougar shifting is difficult until i drive for a while, then it gets smooth.... now shifting in 3rd it makes a grinding sound.... do i need to replace clutch, or are my shift bearings just bad?

if u shift in to like third let it slow down alittle and then mash the gas if the engine winds up and it dosent go faster its the clutch but if it starts picking up speed its the tranny

Clutch peddle will not mash. we replaced clutch, presser plate, throwout bearing and master cylender and hose to slave cylender and clutch peddle won't mash you can take slave cylender loose fro...

when you bleed the system you need to force fluid from the slave cylinder up threw the master cylinder . this is proper way to bleed clutch system.
