Be sure the ground strap is connected then check with a voltmeter that the wires going to the distributor have power if so the ignition module or some ignition component is bad magnetic pickup in distributor or coil.

98 durango is turning over but won,t start, could it be pump or injector. i can hear the pump

On the fuel rail you will see a shrader valve, press that while someone cranks the engine to see if there is fuel pressure, check if there is spark at the spark plugs. You need fuel and spark to start. Let me know.

I have a 2003 dodge durango, it has 119,000 miles and I noticed that when I stop at a signal light or just stop vehicle, sometimes it just cuts off. I purchased vehicle used.

Greetings:

What engine does your Durango have? Your tune up interval for spark plugs is every 30K. When was the last time that was done?

The 2003 was the last year of the Generation 1 Durango, and is considered the best of the 98-03 years.

Cranks wont start, 98 Durango

check to see if getting fuel or if you smell gas when cranking if you smell gas you probably have a spark problem which will probably be a coil and or a pickup coil in your distributor replace coil and then distributor. If you are not getting gas most likely fuel pump in tank see if it will fire on starting fluid then replace fuel pump good luck

How di I get to the sparkplugs? Just trying to

spark plug socket that fits the plugs swivel socket and a few different length extensions be careful removing spark plug wires so you don't break wire at plug twist gently! don't forget to gap plugs if the ones you bought are gap able.
