Question about 2002 Mazda 626

The air conditioner and heater will not come on when you turn the knob nothing happens the a/c light does not comeon all the other lights will but it will not blow any air hot or cold

Well first check the fuse for the heater and or ac and see if it is blown if it is replace it.

If yu didn't already try, make sure your setting is not on defrost or defrost floor. This car automatically puts the setting on ac and recirculation. Turn it he setting off defrost and try again

unplug the heater motor and put a hot wire to it to check the motor if it blows if the wire gets real hot you need to change the heater blower motor. You will probably need to change the heater fan motor resistor. follow the heater fan wire and it will go to the resistor

It is very possible you blew a fuse. There are two 15 amp fuses for the blower motor, make sure you check both of them.

It's usually broken solder joints on a cable behind, and feeding, the temperature knob.
I repaired my 2002 Highlander yesterday thanks to this site.
