2001 dodge strates cant keep flud in the overflow

If you can't keep fluid in the overflow you either have an external leak, you should see fluid on the ground after stopping, if no fluid is apparent you have an internal engine leak and need a mechanic to determine the cause and repair.

How do you fix the leak in power stering line

This very much depends on where the leak is coming from. Hoses are generally the weak point. As they get older they can deteriorate and then crack causing a leak. Ageing hoses tend to make the power steering fluid very dark (normally a light honey). There are two cheap temporary fixes to go for. Th first is self amalgamating silicon tape ("Rescue Tape"). Wrap this as tight as you can up and down over the leak in the hose about four layers thick. An alternative is to add 'power steering leak stop' fluid to your steering reservoir tank. You will need to take some fluid out with a turkey baster of if already low due to the leak just top it up. Circulate the fluid by running the engine and turning the steering wheel from lock to lock. The more expensive and long tem solution is to replace the hoses with new ones.

I have a leak on a 2005 gmc envoy xl front window washer reservoir, trying to figure out what it is that is leaking, it right behind the headlight on front of washer reservoir, there is a round unit that...

You should have 2 "round things" there, those should be the front and rear pumps. All it is is a 90 degree rubber hose fittings that goes into each one. Maybe this hose is cracked or off.

1991 mercury cougar xr7 5.0 wont hold power steering fluid brand new pump and still makes a whining noise

Nope PS system is separate from the Brake and air ride, You will need to clean all the lines off along with the rack&pinion, an overhead lift is needed to check many of the components. look for fresh fluid dripping down, most of the time, if its a pressure leak loads of fluid will leak out draining the reservoir very fast, if the reservoir takes days to drain its probably a suction side leak this would cause air to enter the system and make a continuos whine and cause(low reservoir fluid will allow air to get in the system as well)the liquid to have bubbles and or look foamy. There is a pressure switch in the pressure side that is a common place to leak, I believe its mounted on the Rack itself. Also I have seen people forget to put the teflon seals on the pumps pressure side threaded fitting which will leak immediately after the install. GL

1995 K3500 rear brake reservoir keeps losing fluid. No sign of a leak yet. Is the rear reservoir for the front brakes or rear brakes? Have front calipers and rear drums. Thanks

Hi, you are right the rear is for the rear, the best thing is to pull both rear wheels off and remove drums that way you are looking at the wheel cylinder and then you will know if that is your problem, some times when they leak you cant see it with out pulling drums off. If no problem there check around master cylinder for leaks and around brake booster inside truck. Then if you still have no sign of fluid take the two nuts off master cylinder and see if leak is in side booster is wet.
If need more info please re post.
Thanks dodge tec
