How difficult is it replace the right side crash sensor in a 1999 Volkswagen Passat?

If you are talking about the passengers side than you will need to remove the bumper cover start by removing the screws in the fender and remove the liner remove the side lamps and screws on top and under the front of the bumper you will see the crash sensor mounted to the support ONE question those sensors rearly ever go bad way r u replacing it?

i think that wejerkittoo4 has the right start on this problem...maybe you can print out assembly diagram and do the tracing of wires to see which ones you may have to replace...

WHERE IS THE DLC ON 1999 VW PASSAT 1.8 TURBO?


On 1999 Volkswagen Passat 1.8 Turbo the DLC is placed on the right side of the parking brake lever, under a small rectangle rubber cover. See pictures below:

Where is a knock sensor soposed to be located on a 1991 passat


look on the left hand side at the front of the bell housing, and is held on with a terrible allen bolt that is probably rusty and will be difficult to get out....

FUEL PUMP IS UNDER THE VECHICLE IN FRONT OF THE REAR AXLE OR IN FRONT OF TANK ON THE RIGHT SIDE.

see the air cleaner.follow the air duct leading to the intake manifold,there is a black sensor with three wires! at the side of the throttle body. thats the throttle position sensor.

you have to get special socket that made for o2 sensors you can get local part store and you have to know which sensor you have to replace.
