Question about 1996 Mitsubishi Galant
I was driving and all of a sudden the Ford seemed a bit too quiet and started to slow down. I looked at the dash and nothing was blinking or panicking or showing cut out. I turned off the radio and realised the car had cut out (still coasting but no power). I thought it had quietly stalld so I tried to restart to no avail. I pulled to the side of the road and tried again and again and finally called the AA. The Rescue chap tried for over an hour to get it going again but also to no avail so I got towed home. He had a look to see if it was the fuel pump under the back seat (there was a hum form that when I turned the key but nothing more), he checked something in the side wall of the front passenger foot well and said there was nothing wrong there. He poured fuel directly into the engine someplace and that didn't work either. He checked every fuse he could find/reach and still nothing.
Does anyone know what the problem could be and how we could resolve it? I'd be very grateful for your help.
Thank you :o)
You have fuel so it must be "no spark" (that is if the starter is turning.) pull a plug and see if it sparks, if not get the coil pack tested at any auto parts store.
