If it has that capability it is done automatically by weight. try putting a very light person or weight on the passenger seat

He is slightly wrong. There is a fuse that powers the airbag control module. But that is it, there would be a different code if the junction fuse box was the problem to that airbag light.

How do i disable passenger airbag?

Some models have a switch that can be turn off right on the dashboard. If you push in the lighted button, it should turn off the air bag feature. Some have a weight Switch / Sensor underneath the passenger seat. Meaning if you put a pocket book heavy for example, it is gonna to consider that weight as a person and turn on the seat belt sign and furthermore turn on the Passenger airbag. Put your heavy stuff on the floor or ignore it. But if you get in an accident the safety bag is going to deploy as if a person was sitting there.
Hope that helps. Here is a couple of links to Kia Support.

Where is the passenger airbag deactivation switch?

Your vehicle did not come with a manual [driver controlled] deactivation switch. The passenger side airbag on this car is controlled by a switch built into the bottom seat cushion of the passenger seat. If you place an object heavy enough on the passenger seat to activate that switch, the airbag will be activated. If it is activated when the seat is empty, then the switch inside the seat bottom is either defective or someone has disconnected it. Look under the passenger side seat for an electrical connector which may be unplugged.

How do you turn off the passenger side front airbag?

Thi syear and model uses what is called a "Smart Airbag System" what this means is that the SRS system has a weight sensor in the passenger seat cushion, unless the object or passenger (a child) is more than 50 pounds the airbag is automatically turned off on the passenger side. There is no other switch.

How do you go by replacing the heater core on the 2001 kia sportage

You start by disconnecting the battery and waiting for about 15-minutes because of the airbags.
Next you turn-off the airbag switches (driver & passenger side).
Then you begin removing the center-console,
the heater-core is deep in there.
Its almost a 2-day job.
Due to the complexity of work involved, I suggest you get the Hanyes manual. It is less than $20, and things are explained in details, with pictures/diagrams.

Abdiver:where the heck is the passenger side airbag switch and light located on my 1995 ford ranger

My 1994 F-150 doesn't have a passenger side airbag, and if the 1995 Ranger does have passenger airbags, it would not have a way to disable the passenger airbag until later models (after a bunch of kids got hurt by the airbags deploying). If I recall correctly that wasn't added until somewhere between 1999 and 2001.
