Question about 1992 Honda Accord

1 Answer

Ive been driving it a lot, and all of a sudden, it started messing up, i think its taking too long to clutch because it switches gears on time, but it feels like it doesnt clutch fast like before, and when i stop, on its own it switches to neutral, and like a second or two later, it switches back to gear. What could this be?

2006 Barina manual. Driving, suddenly clutch doesn't engage on take off. Waited and then it grated and worked. Temp of car suddenly rises, air con then blows hot air. Stop, engine super hot

The only scenario that i can think of that could create all of your issues is your clutch is and has been slipping for some time. All other train of thoughts really don't make sence. This would give issue either selecting a gear whilst driving or possible slecting gear and engine speed raising but vehicle not moving from a stand still start on sharp pull away. Engine speed would be running higher than required most of the time which would increase engine temp considerably. Due to extreem engine temp your air con would probably switch off as to not put additional load on your engine creating even higher tempratures. My advise is It really needs a visual / test drive to confirm a diagnosis by a qualified person for this information to be confirmed. I hope this makes sence good luck.

Daewoo Clutch/gearbox

check the clutch cable as it may be broken. What you have is the clutch not disengaging when you put your foot on the pedal and this indicates a slipped cable adjustment or a broken cable . If hydraulic then the system is full of air and needs bleeding or the slave cylinder and master cylinder need replacing.

Mx 6 clutch bleeding

I've had this happen to me once, as did a friend of mine.
Both times the clutch SLAVE (not master) cylinder needed to be replaced, THEN the system bled.
The MASTER cylinder is the one on the firewall, that's connected to the clutch pedal arm.
The SLAVE cylinder is bolted to the bellhousing (between the engine and the transmission).
BUT, it COULD me the master cylinder also.
Whichever is bad, there should be some fluid leaking to give it away.

I was deriving my 88own ford ranger when the line for the hydraulic clutch poped out from the tranny so i shut it off put it in to first gear started it in gear and drove it home with no clutch now its in...

i think this will work, with the clutch perminantly engaged it is difficult to disengage gears, fixing the clutch should make gear chaging better.

So I bought a 95 cr250 and of course when I got it the clutch lever was broken off. So I got a clutch lever and then installed it and I get on the bike pull the clutch in and drop it in 1st and it stalls....

Sounds like one of a couple of things might be happening. Recheck the installation of the clutch lever. There should be about 10mm of free play at the tip of the lever when you start to pull it in. If there is more free play than that, adjust the clutch cable expander until you have 10mm free play at the lever tip. The other thing that could be happening is that the side stand switch is out of adjustment or broken or disconnected. This would cause the engine to die when you let the clutch lever out (safety feature so you do not drive off with the side stand down. As far as the rear tire skidding when you push it in first gear, there is a lot of torque/compression when trying to push start in first. If you attempt to push start the motorcycle, place the transmission in third gear.

Will not start showing gear box probem showing

It possibly could be the nuetral safety switch. somewhere along the drive train there is a switch that detects if the car is gear (automatic trans) or if the clutch is depressed (manual). the switch if on a manual trans would be along the clutch pedal towards the top of the lever above the fulcrom. when depressed (off) the clutch is not depressed when fully extended (on) it is allows the starter to turn over the car.

if you can find the switch you can short the wires and it will think it is ok toi start car (even while in gear so be carefull).

Gear oil

a lot of times frontwheel drive transaxle gearboxs have the filler hole located where the speedo drive goes into the gear box so you remove that n then tip your oil in... in the workshop manual it will say theres a certain position to fill it to on the speedo drive so in fact the speedo drive is your dipstick..from the info ive got in front of me the transmission takes 75w-90 gear oil n 1.8 litres fill capacity
