Question about 2002 Pontiac Grand Am
My car wont turn over i replaced the fuel filter but it has problem turning over. Sometimes the car turn over but when i turn off the car can't get it to turn over again. Can any one help?
CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE WITH DIGITAL VOLT METER.IT SHOULD BE 12.5 VOLTS.IF NOT CHARGE IT OR HAVE BATTERY CHECK OUT OR REPLACE.IF BATTERY GOOD.CHECK BATTERY CABLES FOR TIGHTNESS OR CORROSSION.IF CABLES GOOD.PROBLEM COULD BE FAULTY STARTER OR SOLENOID.TURN OFF RADIO BEFORE REMOVING BATTERY CABLES SO YOU WONT LOSE RADIO CODE TO PLAY RADIO.ALSO HAVE ALTERNATOR CHECKED OUT TO SEE IF IT IS CHARGING THE BATTERY.

Is the security light active? If yes it will have to get reprogrammed by the GM dealer as GM has this as a propriatory system... Meaning no one else can work on it.
