You have a cat converter that is bad. It smells just like rotten eggs. unfortunately that system has four converters built into a y pipe. If you have less than 80000 and it was sold after 9/01 regardless of how many owners the cat is still covered under an emissions warranty.

Hope this helps.

Assuming the plugs are good. check distributor unit, all plugs wires and coil. common problems causing it to misfire. if those check out, could be a sign that the cam sensor is going bad.

Probably the EGR valve is bad. That is generally the cause of the smell.

Your catalytic converter is plugged up,  If you check the exhaust output at the tailpipe you will find it restricted.

My car has a rich gas smell then when it warms up smells like rotten eggs does it have something to do with the cadillac converter?

Maybe.
The rich gas smell is probably due to injector problems. The rotten egg smell is sulphur in the fuel, which reacts to the catalytic converter. The rich smell would need to be fixed first by checking the injectors and the engine computer.

When running, the Navigator has a rotten egg smell and misses.

The rotten egg smell is because the engine is not properly burning and processing the fuel and exhaust gases. The first culprit to suspect is bad catalytic converters. But since you are also experiencing misfires you can probably start with a tune up. And clean the fuel injectors. You can try running some Techron through the gas tank. Then have your vehicle scanned for error codes. Most auto parts stores will scan your codes for you.

If your scan does not indicate anything and you still have the egg smell, you probably need to replace one or more catalytic converters.

Take a look at this video on how to try to clean catalytic converters before buying new ones...

Rough idling, poor gas milege

Usually the rotten egg smell is a clogged CAT. Is the engine light on and if so did you retrieve any codes?

My alt went bad in my 2001 focus ZX3, resulting in a dead battery, changed the alt. and now that its charging its misfiring and smells like rotten eggs, it ran perfect before, any answers?

The rotten egg smell is a dead giveaway that your catalatic converter is bad. This could also be the cause of your misfirie condition. Take to your mechanic to have the converter replaced and this should correct your problem.

Engine light

The "rotten-egg" smell is caused indirectly by the catalytic converter. The main cause is a rich mixture condition from the engine. Your SUV is equipped with a computer controlled engine management system. You can scan your computer for fault or error codes. The information should pinpoint the malfunctioning components. There is an alternate reason for the rotten egg smell. this also can be caused by a over charged battery. if so, make sure the alternator isn't overcharging the battery cell. it will boil the contents causing the egg smell. I recommend a diagnostic run to make sure what this problem is.

please rate and god bless.

Rotten egg smell after new plugs and wires seems to miss now

did he gap the plugs properly? sulfur smell comes from excess fuel being dumped into the exhaust (catalytic converter). Could be the coil, or improperly gapped plugs. If the wires were out of order, there would be a misfire.
