SOURCE: hey the EPS on my 06 HHR is having issues. It

This is a known problem with the power steering which will probably require replacement of the power steering motor. The HHR uses an electric 12V DC motor to provide the power steering force, and they have started failing.

GM is recalling the Cobalt and other vehicles for this issue, but not yet the HHR. If you are out of warranty, you will probably be personally responsible for the cost of diagnostics and replacement.

You will probably need to contact your dealer unless you are able to replace the motor yourself. Sorry.

I'm fues to my fan keeps going out on my 2006 P.T

More than likely you have an internal fault either in the fan itself or the thermostat that activates it.

For a fuse to blow it has to have a lot higher than normal current draw through it, which is normally refered to as a short. If the fuse blows almost immediately then I would suggest you unplug the fan, and see if the fuse blows with just the thermostat in the circuit. If it blows - replace the thermostat control. If it doesn't blow, plug in the fan and watch it. If it trys to start and then blows the fuse, replace the fan motor.

Battery died fuse blew what is an EPS fuse?

Electronic Power Steering. Larger fuse in the engine compartment's fuse block. Will also blow if you leave power steering in a locked position to the right or left too long. I carry a spare.

Every time i turn the ignition on,, a 20amp fues blow out ..the car is not starting..it will turn over but not start... the fues is in the power distibutor box only

what is that fuse for? If it keeps blowing then it is an indication of a short cicuit in the part/cable/wire for the unit the fuse protects.

Trying to jump my wifes vehicle, when finished my hhr had no power steering

When jumping the HHR, be sure to use ONLY the labeled Positive and Negative connection points. Improper jumping will cause the main EPS fuse to blow. This is fuse #1, 60A in the underhood fuse box. Also check fuse #19, 2A in the inside console fusebox.

Power steering fails, shifts poorly, jerks, stalls

07-02-32-007B This bulletin is something that should be checked by your dealer. Your eps module or eps motor maybe both are at fault. This may be covered under the powertrain warranty.

As for the air temp, The sensor is behind the right front light. It is the most common problem.
