Could be ball joint tie rods alignment lift it n check to see if the tire has any play wen u shoake it by grabbin both sides and just a small back n forth movement to see any unusual play. if your not good at this take it to an alignment guy n theyll check the suspension before they do anything

What would cause a constent humming noise in front end I was told it sounds like the tire is gonna come off, someone else said its the tires i have on it

humming tyre noise changes with different road surfaces so if it doesn't change it is not tyres
most humming noise is harmonic vibration of drive shafts/ lines so check cv joints , "U" joints, bent drive shafts
wheel bearings etc

My Dodge Grand Caravan is making a humming noise as you accelerate, while turning left it stops but gets worse while turning right. I replaced the left front wheel hub and no improvement, I need help

if hub bearing replacement did not fix the noise

when noises are on left and right turns
that has CV joints /drive shafts
would say they are the issue
replace both sides

and replace the left hand hub bearing at the same time

How do check the front wheel bearing and cv joint on 2001honda civic

The wheel hub brg assy you will hear when going from
around 25 thru 45 mph

Then you remove the brake rotor & feel for wear in the bearing
Not so easy with drive axles in there

If you do one side-- do both (replace)

The CV Joints are checked on a lift or off the ground
by hand, for ripped boots & play in the joints

Next you go into a parking lot or driveway where you can
go forward to check inner joints for a noise, with the wheels
turned all the way & backwards for the outer joints making
noise,wheels turned fully, both directions

2004 pontiac grand prix gt. humming noise while driving. Louder at 25 mph or higher. Changed front passenger side hub bearings due to when turning slightly left humming quiets. I stol have humming....

I change both wheel hub bearings when one goes

Doesn't matter what stabilizer does--- the bushings need
to be done-- so you say

Maybe you replaced the wrong drive axle

Put the front tires on the back to see what happens

Will the front driveshaft cause humming if it is free wheeling

The noise your hearing is most likely a hub bearing It will look like axle shaft is moving because the bearing is what the axle sits into if the noise changes when driving and turn wheel to left and right if so if you turn left and noise changes then your right frt bearing is bad and vise a versa.

Saturn SL1, growling and vibration coming from right front wheel,

Might be a hub bearing. Those make a growling noise when they are bad. When it is on jack stands you should be able to put your hands on the top of the tire and the bottom of the tire and move it back and forth. and the same with putting your hands on the right and left side of the tire. if you can and it moves back and forth then the bearing is back. but becarefull not to get the movement confused with a bad ball joint or tire rod. which could also be your problem but they dont make a growling noise

CV JOINTS wearing out..

CV joints wont cause bad tyre wear, wheel alignment angles will and so will worn bushes or ball joints get front suspension checked bad shockers or struts will cause tyre wear.
CV joints cause clicking noise on hard take off worse when doing U turn, or sharp turn from take off.

FRONT TIRES AND ENGINE.

Hi,

The tire noise will be due to the car needing a wheel alignment, just take it down to your local tyre dealer and they will check it for you if you are not sure.

As for the burning smell, if it's coming from the engine it could be a simple oil leak leaking onto the exhaust or could be more serious like worn rings or valve guides.

Good luck.
