Check your hoses entering your block and radiator. you may need to bring your vehicle into a garage and ask for a "Pressure Test" this will indicate if you have a crack or leak.
Good Luck.

My 2001 Olds Aurora is leaking antifreeze. Someone looked and said it was a cap, that you can only get from the dealership. Any ideas to what the name of the cap is?

the cap is on the 'overflow bucket' near the fender well. Those radiators have plastic tanks on the sides and they will crack over time. Many won't leak until the car is warmed up and the plastic expands, opening the crack.

Leaking engine coolant

Can you see the leaking fluid under your hood, or car? If so, you should be able to trace the leak to a hose, water pump seal, thermostat housing, intake gasket, overflow bottle, radiator? If not, the antifreeze leak could be around the intake manifold...catch this before it starts to leak internally...meaning watger in your oil...:( Most of these leak repairs are inexpensive...keep me posted. Hope this helps.

My oldsmobile aurora 1996 keeps saying low coolant level and is leaking.

It's the upper and lower manifold gaskets, take it to a service shop and get them to replace your manifold gaskets, it's not the water pump

You should look under the car after it sits a while and see if there is antifreeze on the ground. If so try to see where it could be leaking under the hood directly over the puddle. You could have a leaking water pump. If so there would be dampness under the right side of engine compartment. Also check the radiator hoses at front of car.

Oil leak from the hose an 1995 oldsmobile aurora

Mostly likely it's coming from the oil cooler lines from the motor to the radiator. My friend's Aurora has the same leak, we replaced the oil pressure sending unit, which is close by the lines, but the lines, where the compressed part of the fitting was leaking there. The oil cooler lines will have to be replaced.

The heat only blows when its going down the road

When the engine is cool, remove the radiator cap and check the coolant level in the radiator. It should be filled right up to the top. If it isn't, add water or antifreeze until it is full. Re-cap the radiator, run engine until hot, check to see if heater works now. You'll also want to look carefully for leaks around your radiator and its hoses.

Car is overheating

Check all hoses and belts see if they look ok. then check antifreeze or check for leak at radiator, by doing a pressure leak test also check cap with pressure test. next check thermostat it may not be opening properly. thermostats go bad and they only cost about 10 bucks. good luck.

My 2003 olds alero reservoir leaks

Your cooling system needs to be pressure checked to see where the leak is. certain auto parts stores rent out a pressure checker. make sure you have the cooling system full before doing the pressure test. check to see if you have a radiator cap and fill the system that way instead of using the resevoir
