I can list numerous of probable cause of your problems, the best thing to do is to narrow everything down beside guessing and buying part doesn't needing replacement and that can get very expensive, half of time we don't have the tools to test the faulty parts. I would spend 65-70 buck at the dealer or auto zone might also plug in their machine for free and have them diagnose and retrieved the code and they will tell you what is wrong and what need replacing, from that point on you can replace the parts on your own save on labor. you can check simple things like, wires are good, distubutor unit, cap and rotor and the coil. sometime the coil work wells when its cold, when it hot, it quit working. check air-mass sensor wiring/unit also. If you want to do the task, I would recommend to go down and purchase Haynes auto repair book, that way it will tell you the names of the parts and the location. Go to auto-zone and see if they able to pull a code for free, go from there and re-post and one of us will continue and try to help.

First step is to check fuel pressure and ignition.

If you can designate one of them not working correctly than move on to correct the problem in either the fuel supply or, electronic ignition.

Engine acts like it is out of gas keeps stalling i can turn it off for a few minutes will run for a mile or two then does it again

Vent valve has failed closed or cannister is clogged up. Have the evap system checked from the tank to the charcoal canister. If you need to drive to a mechanic, try driving with the gas cap loose.

its the cam shaft or drive shaft sensor. since your probably trying to restart it over and over again you are resetting the computer so you get no codes. have a 2000 and it did the same thing tell i gave up trying to start it and took it towed it to my house and had it tested.

Thats definatly a crankshaft positioning sensor the reason why it dies after 20 minutes is heat expand and cold retracts kinda the same with the senor as it heats up it loses contact it is located back side of the head on the upper right about an inch below the valve cover

It might have something to do with your mass/air sensor located on the intake tube. Try cleaning the mass air sensor with the appropriate cleaner and also try cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner.

2000 s10 Blazer dies very 3-6 weeks for no reason

i would check your ignition system. you would need a meter for this but look for broke or loose connections. if it was a fuel problem i dont think it would just start up after 20 minutes. or you might try your ignition switch. if its shorting or something then ya well it would cut your engine off real quick
