Have the sensor checked first. If that's not the case, the system may be defective. Only be having it checked by a trusted mechanic will give you peace of mind. Get an estimate first! Good Luck

2002 poNtiac aztek anti lock break light is continuously beeping

Typically means you have lost an anti-lock brake sensor as gone bad.
Take to local garage to get them to scan the computer. Will reveal if that is the problem, which sensor it is, or if problem lies elsewhere.

After driving for a short time the anti-lock break light comes on

you should check the ABS system under the hood. It's where the brake fluid reservoir is. make sure you're not losing fluid. and then, check your abs sensors on wheels; they could be going bad.

Brakes lock on ice, snow, rain, and high temperatures

Sounds like your Anti lock brake valve is not functioning right. The bad thing is that it has to be serviced by a technician. When they lock up is there any lights on the dash that light up like something that says anti-lock?

Break light....

There's a switch on your emergency brake that the indicator (on your dashlight) operates from. Sometimes it slips in its bracket and gets out of adjustment causing your dash light to stay on. Its located on the upper part of your emergency brake pedal. Hope this works for you. Goodluck.
