When I push on the gas pedal to accelerate my truck it does nothing then about 4 seconds later It jults forward and accelerates any ideas?

Sounds like it is the throttle position sensor . This tell your computer that you are pushing on the pedal to go faster or slower . You may want to go to UTUBE and put your year and brand of truck in , like this Example : 2001 Chevy Suburban Change out throttle position sensor with 5.7 liter ( This is my truck ) . Hope this helps , Grant

Sounds like your car is in the limp home mode. When the computer in your car fails it goes into a limp home mode that lets you drive it home at a slow speed. Sounds like when you changed the battery you may have damaged the computer. Take it to the dealer to have it checked out.

Hi, i have a 1999 bmw 323i and the is not giving me the performance as usual, it wont pick up speed fast, if am going 50mh and i press the break and than press on the gas it wont respond fast at all even...

A few classic possibilities here. First your throttle body sensor may be bad. Second your mass airflow sensor may be bad. Third your fuel regulator may be on the blitz. Also, if your oxygen sensor is going bad you may feel a slow response to your acceleration. My best bet is that your mass airflow sensor is going bad.
