Question about 2002 Saturn VUE
I am thinking that you may be talking about the sway bar end link. This is a small metal bar that connects the sway bar to the hub of the front wheel. It has two rubber bushings at the sway bar end and two at the hub end. You can look at the other side of the car to determine the placement and whether or not yours is intact. It is a very important part of your suspension and should be replaced if missing or broken. They keep your car from rolling excessively in turns. Fortunately they are inexpensive and easy to replace. They are sometimes different from left to right and always different from front to rear. Make sure that you specify to the auto parts store where it is located on your car. Copy the intact side of the car for installation.

You mean the sway bar? If so, the sway bar or roll bar, or sometimes called the stabilizer bar. The sway bar has two functions.
