Question about Acura MDX

Open Question

My Hands Free Link in my 2005 Acura MDX just stopped working - totally dead. No beep, no "Hands Free Link" on the display screen. It worked fine two weeks ago. My cell phone (bluetooth compatible) is working fine. I've had the MDX for 10 months now, but the warranty is out due to mileage. I checked the fuses and they are find. Any ideas?

SOURCE: How to use TPMS in Acura MDX 2005

The TPMS light will be visible in your instrument panel like your parking brake would if activated. The TPMS function is activated automatically once any of your tires are improperly inflated. Furthermore, it will identify which tire needs attention.

You might try disconnecting the battery and then pushing the on button on the radio. Hopefully you have a copy of the radio code nuber in case that is necessary. Then reconnect the car battery and set up your bluetooth link again.

Bluetooth on 07 acura mdx doesnt work

Your Hands Free Link unit has probably died. It's in the compartment above the rear view mirror where the front cabin lights are. They cost a couple hundred bucks and aren't too hard to swap out (there are a couple good videos on youtube detailing the procedure).

The running lights terminal on my trailer plug in do not work. Turn signals and brake lights work fine. Have continuity to the last splice. Do not know how to find the exact fuse.

first, disconnect from the car and check for total continuity from the front to the back of the trailer with some extra wire, if it is good, then you can get a fuse tester from autozone or such and check the fuses in the panel until you find the dead one, they run about $15 usd.

Numbers stored in my Hands Free Link have been removed.Why/How?

make sure are using the same key that you used when you set the numbers they are numbered 1 and 2 . ( each key has its own settings stored) if you are then have the local dealer change the HFL unit we have had some problems with them in this model.

Heres what you should do:
1. Start up vehicle.

2. Hold down buttons: MENU + MAP/GUIDE + CANCEL for 5 seconds, (the "Select Diagnosis items" screen will appear) then do the following:

3. Hold down only MAP/GUIDE (again) for 5 seconds (A screen with a "Complete" button, will appear).

4. Tap the "Complete" button on screen, and then the "Return" button.

5. Restart vehicle. Everything will work! That screen won't popup anymore! =)
